Could Sheyi Ojo’s move to Ibrox sweeten Glasgow Rangers’ hopes of getting Ryan Kent?

Sheyi Ojo was spotted driving into Rangers’ Auchenhowie training complex today and it looks like a move is imminent.

According to The Mail, Ojo will join Rangers on a season-long loan from Liverpool.

If and when it happns, it’s a great signing by the Gers, but could it also have major implications on whether Steven Gerrard can re-sign Ryan Kent?

Kent and Ojo know each other from coming through the ranks at Melwood together.

The Daily Record has claimed that Kent already favours a return to Ibrox over joining Leeds United and, if one of his old mates is in Glasgow, that might just sweeten the deal for him.

The 22-year-old was a big hit during his loan with the light Blues last season and The Echo claimed that Liverpool might want as much as £12 million for him.

It remains to be seen if Rangers want him on a permanent or another season-long loan, but it does seem very plausible that Kent would certainly be game for returning in some capacity if Ojo is there.
