Glasgow Rangers have bought Sheyi Ojo to Ibrox for a season-long loan spell this summer.

In comments reported by the Evening Times, Sheyi Ojo has suggested that there are plenty of similarities between Liverpool and Rangers, with the winger lauding the Gers’ fans and squad.
Ojo is one of a number of players to have already joined Steven Gerrard’s squad this summer, with the 22-year-old joining from the Reds on a season-long loan deal.
And ahead of the Scottish Premiership campaign, the former England under-21 international suggested that his time with Rangers could provide the perfect platform ahead of his return to Liverpool next summer due to the various things the two clubs have in common.
“I feel Rangers are a massive club and after speaking with the manager I felt it was the best decision to come here,” he said, as reported by the Evening Times.

“Hopefully I can help the team and have a consistent season of good football.
“It is very similar to Liverpool. The stadium is massive, they have great fans and they have some great players in the squad now,” he went on to add.

It looks set to be a key season in Ojo’s career. After showing promise when he burst onto the scene, his last couple of loan spells have been somewhat underwhelming and Liverpool fans would be forgiven for wondering if he has much of a chance of making the grade at Anfield given the talent in front of him.
But Ojo only needs to look at teammate Ryan Kent to know what a game-changer a spell with Rangers could be. Kent was arguably in a similar boat this time 12 months ago and, while it remains to be seen whether he will be in Liverpool’s plans next term, the fact that there is even a debate shows how far he came working with Gerrard.
