Sheyi Ojo scored for Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers at Ibrox on Thursday.
Sheyi Ojo of Rangers
Rangers winger Sheyi Ojo has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s win against Feyenoord at Ibrox on Thursday evening.
Steven Gerrard’s side got the better of Dutch outfit Feyenoord 1-0 at Ibrox in Europa League Group G.
Winger Ojo, who joined Rangers on loan from Premier League club Liverpool in the summer transfer window, scored the only goal of the match in the 23rd minute.
The 22-year-old winger is pleased with the “team performance” and he has also dedicated his goal to Fernando Ricksen and his family.
Former Rangers star Ricksen recently passed away after losing his battle with motor neurone disease, as reported by BBC Sport.
Positive result
Rangers had a lot of chances against Feyenoord, and the Gers should have actually won by a bigger margin.
However, the Gers will be pleased with the final result, as the win enhances their chances of progressing to the knockout round of the Europa League this season.
Rangers will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they take on St. Johnstone away from home in the Scottish Premiership.
