Rangers beat Oxford United 5-0 at Ibrox on Sunday afternoon.

Rangers prepared for their Europa League qualifying tie with St Joseph’s by beating Oxford United 5-0 at Ibrox on Sunday afternoon.
The Gers are gearing up for Tuesday’s big game, and did so in style by absolutely hammering Karl Robinson’s side in a convincing home victory.
Daniel Candeias and Greg Stewart struck in the first half to put Rangers 2-0 up, before Lewis Mayo, Sheyi Ojo and Jermain Defoe also scored, securing that 5-0 win.
It was a perfect run-out for Rangers, and boss Steven Gerrard was able to hand an Ibrox debut to some of his new signings, such as Stewart and George Edmundson.
Another new arrival, winger Ojo, got his Rangers career off to a great start by scoring his first goal for Rangers, and he’ll have surely impressed supporters.

The young wide man is looking to get his career back on track with Rangers, much like Ryan Kent did last season, and he enjoyed a fine Ibrox debut yesterday.
Ojo not only got on the scoresheet, but also impressed with his athleticism and trickery on the ball, proving to be a menace for Oxford defenders as they struggled to contain him.
Ojo took to Twitter after the final whistle, admitting that it was great to see the Rangers faithful for the first time, and he’ll be looking for much more success over the next year.
