Speaking to FourFourTwo, AC Milan and Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko has named former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard in his best ever XI.

The striker had a glittering career in which he scored over 300 goals in over 600 league games. He was also a star on the international stage, scoring 48 goals in 111 appearances for Ukraine.

During that time he won the Champions League with AC Milan as well as the Serie A title, the FA Cup with Chelsea and numerous other trophies. He was also the Ballon d’Or winner in 2004.
