Tim Sherwood said on Sky Sports News (1:46pm, December 12, 2020) that Arsenal would love to have Tottenham Hotspur duo Harry Winks and Dele Alli in their team at the moment.
Midfielders Winks and Alli have struggled for playing time for Tottenham so far this season.
According to WhoScored, Winks has made three starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League so far this season, while his England international teammate and fellow 24-year-old midfielder Alli has made one start and one substitute appearance in the league.
Former Tottenham manager Sherwood believes that Arsenal, who are not having the best of campaigns in the Premier League, would love to have the two Tottenham players in their team at the moment.
Sherwood said on Sky Sports News (1:46pm, December 12, 2020): “What I would say is Arsenal could do with a Dele Alli and Harry Winks. I mean, they would rip your hands off If you say, ‘You can have these two players’. They are better than what Arsenal have got at the moment.”
Linked away
While it is hard to see Arsenal make an approach for Winks or Alli or Tottenham entertaining any offers for the two midfielders from their bitter North London rivals, the duo have been linked with moves away.
According to Eurosport, Tottenham will tell Winks that he can leave in January, while BBC Sport has claimed that Paris Saint-Germain want to sign Alli on loan.
