George Hirst is the son of Owls legend David
George Hirst (ST)
It will come as no surprise to anyone who has been following the Owls to know that big things are expected of the son of club hero David Hirst. The 17-year-old forward made his debut for the Wednesday first-team this season, and as the team are currently the lowest scorers in the top-half of the table, it may not be a massive surprise to see Hirst given his chance in the Championship in the near future.
Football Manager 2017 suggests that his decision-making is currently his strongest attribute.

Connor O’Grady (CB)
Like Hirst, O’Grady made his Owls debut in the EFL Cup tie with Cambridge at the start of the season. The 18-year-old does arguably stand a good chance of adding to his tally of appearances in the near future as Wednesday seemingly lack numbers at the heart of their defence. His marking is currently his best attribute, according to FM 2017.
Matt Penney (LB)
Penney may be a less familiar name than the other two but Football Manager 2017 has tipped him to be a brighter prospect than O’Grady and just as promising as Hirst. The left-back has scored some special goals for the Owls’ youth teams, so it is hardly surprising that long shots are his strength, according to the game.
