Clare is out of contract at Sheffield Wednesday this summer.

Sean Clare has provided Sheffield Wednesday fans on Twitter with an update on his recovery from ankle surgery.
Accompanying a 30 second video, in which he is shown wearing a protective boot, Clare’s message read: “Smashing more sessions over the last few days. Building for a long season! Can’t wait!”
However, the out of contract Owls midfielder failed to specify which club he intends to turn out for next season, amid reported interest from the Championship and Premier League.
Clare is one of several youngsters promoted to Sheffield Wednesday’s first team during Jos Luhukay’s four month reign as manager.
And the 21 year old impressed in his four Owls starts, scoring his only goal for the club in February’s 4-2 defeat against Aston Villa at Hillsborough, but succumbed to injury shortly after.
Wednesday have offered a new deal to Clare, ensuring they will be due compensation if he decides to pursue other opportunities in English football.

Another player elevated by Luhukay, Jordan Thorniley, was quick to mock Clare’s tweet, replying: “Still doing half reps on the bench then yeh”?
