This past season has been Hutchinson’s worst for absence at Sheffield Wednesday.

Sheffield Wednesday’s Sam Hutchinson has travelled to Barcelona to continue his rehabilitation from an ankle injury.
Hutchinson suffered the problem during March’s 4-1 win against Preston North End and was ruled out of Wednesday’s remaining fixtures shortly after.
However, it has been suggested by Owls manager Jos Luhukay that the popular midfielder should return in time for pre-season training at the end of next month.
In the meantime, Hutchinson will follow in the footsteps of several high profile current and ex-footballers – including Sevilla’s Daniel Carrico, former Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta, and the 28-year-old’s Hillsborough teammate Gary Hooper – in spending time with Dr José Manuel Sánchez at the CEREDE Sports Rehab centre.
This past season proved to be Hutchinson’s worst for absence since he arrived at Sheffield Wednesday in 2014 – with the former Chelsea player making just nine Owls appearances.
Wednesday have also been without Keiren Westwood, Jack Hunt, Joost van Aken, Morgan Fox, Sean Clare, Kieran Lee, Ross Wallace, Steven Fletcher and Hooper throughout the recent weeks and months.
