Sheffield Wednesday defender Morgan Fox has ruled himself out of Saturday’s trip to Nottingham Forest.

Fox arrived at Hillsborough six weeks ago from Charlton Athletic, and has made three appearances so far.

However, the left-back will now be unavailable for an undisclosed length of time with an injury suffered during Tuesday’s home win against Blackburn Rovers.

Fox looked to be in some discomfort during the first half of that encounter, and failed to return after the break.

“Gutted to have picked up an injury in the game on Tuesday night. Fully focused on my recovery, hoping it’s speedy,” wrote the 23-year-old on Twitter.

“Best of luck to the lads tomorrow! Hoping they can get another good result and keep this run going!”

Winger Adam Reach deputised for Fox for the remainder of Tuesday’s game, and could again get the nod at the City Ground.

Alternatively, Wednesday head coach Carlos Carvalhal could opt to recall Daniel Pudil, after the Czech Republic international sat out the Owls’ last two fixtures.

The Yorkshire side have won three straight Championship matches and will move up to at least fifth place if they win their next two.
