Sheffield Wednesday’s Jack Hunt has given an update on the knee injury he suffered during Saturday’s 3-0 win against Reading.

Hunt required medical attention after going down clutching his knee midway through the second half at Hillsborough.

However, much to the surprise of most inside the ground, Hunt was able to hobble off the pitch after waving away the stretcher which was brought on to carry him.

Wednesday manager Jos Luhukay later revealed the 27-year-old would undergo a scan on Monday, in order to determine the nature of the injury.

And according to Hunt, the verdict is a positive one – although he failed to elaborate any further.

Hunt, who is in his third season at Wednesday, has thrived since the Owls’ switch to five at the back – keeping fellow right-back Liam Palmer out of the team when fit.

However, the Rothwell-born player is set to enter the final year of his contract at Hillsborough this summer.
