Nuhiu has signed a new two-year contract at Sheffield Wednesday.

Sheffield Wednesday’s deal for Atdhe Nuhiu was aided by a former Sheffield United striker.
Nuhiu, who scored or assisted more goals than any other Championship player after Jos Luhukay’s appointment as Wednesday manager in January, committed to a new two-year contract at Hillsborough on Thursday.
And it has since transpired that one of the key figures involved in the negotiations was Darius Henderson – once of the Owls’ city rivals Sheffield United.
Unique Sports Management – for which Henderson works as a consultant – posted the following tweet, showing the Londoner stood to Nuhiu’s left, shortly after Wednesday announced the Kosovan’s renewal:
Henderson – who last played for non league Eastleigh – spent three years on Sheffield United’s books, in which he scored or made 33 goals in 80 games.
And fans of both Wednesday and United may recall the 36-year-old scoring in the pair’s 2009-10 meeting at Bramall Lane, which the Blades won 3-2.

Henderson was later linked with a move to Hillsborough, a year after he left United for Millwall in 2011.
