The Celtic prodigy netted a lethal brace against Inverness and the Bhoyhood fan seems quite taken by his performances.

Moussa Dembele’s quality is being recognised far and wide, from Munich to Manchester, Liverpool to London. And it seems the Celtic goal machine, who took his tally to a frankly absurd 31 in 43 with two more strikers against Inverness on Wednesday, is now being recognised in another major city – albeit one not represented by one of the European elite.
Sheffield Wednesday midfielder, and self-confessed Celtic fan, Barry Bannan could hardly contain his admiration on Twitter as the French forward tore into yet another dazed domestic opponent in midweek.
And, although Dembele is far from certain to remain at Parkhead beyond this season with rumours of £40 million bids flying around for a player Celtic signed for as little as a compensation fee in July, as reported by the Daily Record, you wonder whether Bannan could be enticed by the prospect of flighting through balls for the prolific former Fulham prodigy.
“I can’t deny that [I would love to play for Celtic],” he told the Football League Paper. “I dream of it as a kid and I still do.
“Professionally, you want to play at the highest standard you possibly can, but, deep down, who doesn’t want to play for their boyhood team?
“That will never change but, right now, I couldn’t be happier here.”

However, if Wednesday suffer play-off heartbreak for the second year running, the 24-time Scotland international could be forgiven for giving his future some serious thought.
With six assists this season, Bannan has been one of the most impressive players for the sixth-placed Owls this season and would surely prove a good addition to Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic ranks – particularly with the manager clearly harbouring doubts about the likes of Nir Bitton and Tom Rogic.
And, if Dembele resists the advances from elsewhere, he will only benefit from Bannan pulling the strings behind him.
