The Dutch duo could be bound for Sheffield Wednesday this month, although Birmingham City could yet scupper the Owls’ Nelom hopes.

Heracles Almelo are ready to grant Joey Pelupessy his wish of a move Sheffield Wednesday, who are also being tipped to rival Birmingham City for the signing of Feyenoord’s Miquel Nelom.
One Dutch newspaper, Algemeen Dagblad, reported on Tuesday that the Owls are in talks over a move for Pelupessy, who captains his current employers.
And according to Heracles director Nico-Jan Hoogma, the defensive midfielder is keen to leave for Hillsborough this month.

“We are not yet that far. [Our valuations do] not yet match,” Hoogma said, as quoted by Tubantia in Holland.
“Joey has done a fantastic job for three-and-a-half years here. He sees this as a unique opportunity, something he absolutely wants. We give him this, and that’s what we have to deal with.
“Joey binds people, is good with supporters and with the sponsors, he has done everything for the club in recent years. We have to find a solution there, we’re going to see what the coming days bring us.”

Meanwhile, Tubantia reports that Sheffield Wednesday, who hired Dutchman Jos Luhukay as manager earlier this month, are also keen on Nelom, who was linked with a move to Birmingham this week.
Like Pelupessy, the 27-year-old is out of contract in June, although it is claimed a bid still needs to be put on the table.
Nelom, who is a left-back by trade, has two caps for the Netherlands and started Feyenoord’s Champions League encounter with Manchester City last September.
