Sheffield Wednesday’s Fernando Forestieri has been linked with Derby County.

Sheffield Wednesday supporters have taken to social networking site Twitter in order to have their say on the Fernando Forestieri saga after the playmaker was withdrawn from the squad to face Norwich City.
The Argentine forward joined the Owls from Watford 12 months ago, and soon became a favourite at Hillsborough as his hard work and dazzling feet left a lasting impression.
He managed to net 15 times last season as Wednesday reached the Championship play-off final, and few could argue he was among the most outstanding players in the league over the campaign.

He started this season in the same vein as last term by scoring the late winner for the Owls in their opening-day win over Aston Villa last weekend.
Interest in his services this summer wouldn’t have come as a great surprise to Wednesday, yet supporters have been left bemused as rather than a Premier League club it’s Derby who have come knocking.
The Rams are going through somewhat of a transitional period under new boss Nigel Pearson, and Sky Sports recently reported that the Midlands side have made an offer of £7 million for the Owls favourite.

With both Derby and Wednesday backed by wealthy owners and among the favourites for promotion this term, any transfer between the two clubs would surely be seen as a sideways move.
However, the situation regarding Forestieri has become somewhat bemusing, and with the Argentine being withdrawn from Wednesday’s squad to face Norwich, both sets of fans have been in deep discussion.

Is a move really on? Could it happen? It would come as a great surprise, and no doubt it would be a huge coup for Derby while a bitter blow for the Owls should Forestieri move to the iPro Stadium.
Taking to social networking site Twitter, Wednesday supporters are undoubtedly disappointed at the speculation and some feel Forestieri’s behaviour is unforgiving.
