According to Football.London, West Ham United are considering loaning out Jordan Hugill – and Sheffield Wednesday should attempt to sign him.

The target-man has played just 28 minutes of Premier League football since joining West Ham in the January transfer window.

However, Hugill has proven his quality at Championship level with Preston and he could be a valuable addition to Wednesday’s squad.

The Owls have a number of striking options currently, but none of them have scored particularly prolifically throughout this campaign.

A new front man may well be on Jos Luhukay’s shopping list over the summer, and Hugill could be a good option.

With West Ham willing to loan him out, Wednesday would not have to make much of a financial commitment to secure the target-man’s signature.

And, Hugill’s 10 goals for Preston over the first half of the campaign, should convince Wednesday that signing the 25-year-old would be a very smart move.
