Wednesday earned their first win in seven matches against Bolton.

Sheffield Wednesday finally stopped the rot with their first Championship victory in seven matches against fellow struggles Bolton Wanderers, thanks to a header from Tom Lees – but fans were unimpressed with midfielder Joe Pelupessy.
Wednesday came into the match after losing five of their last six outings against Derby County, Norwich City, Birmingham City, QPR and Middlesbrough, but Lees’ excellent header was enough to secure a win.
However, Wednesday fans were not particularly impressed on Twitter after the match, with many still complaining about the performances of a number of players despite the win.
Pelupessy, 25, has started Wednesday’s last seven matches and featured for the entire 90 minutes against Bolton. It was his corner that was expertly headed home by Lees.

The Dutchman partnered Barry Bannan in central midfield, as he remains first choice under Jos Luhukay – making 16 Championship appearances this season.
Wednesday fans criticised the former FC Twente and Heracles midfielder for his negative approach alongside Bannan, constantly looking to play the ball backwards rather than putting the Owls on the front foot.
