Sheffield Wednesday fans react on Twitter to 2019-20 kit unveiling

The Owls have impressed many of their fans with both the new kit designs and the creative retro-theme announcement video.

A number of Sheffield Wednesday fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the club’s unveiling of the 2019-20 home and away kits.

The Owls’ social media feed revealed the new kits by posting a retro videogame-themed video clip which featured several of the club’s first-team players modelling the new designs.

Wednesday’s home kit is a classic blue and white striped shirt, while the away kit is dark green with white trim on the sleeves, and the goalkeeper’s shirt is yellow with black stripes.

The kit unveiling proved a welcome temporary relief for many Owls fans amid the frustrating managerial saga that has been disrupting the club’s pre-season (Sky Sports).

As well as the kit designs themselves, the video, which features retro music and a 16-bit style version of Steven Fletcher’s acrobatic volley against Swansea City in February this year, went down a storm with the Hillsborough faithful.
