Hector spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at the Owls from Premier League side Chelsea.
According to WhoScored, the 26-year-old Jamaica international central defender made 36 starts and one substitute appearance in the Championship for Wednesday, scoring two goals in the process.
Wednesday finished 12th in the Championship table this past season with 64 points from 46 matches.

The Owls did make a late push for the playoffs, but in the end, Steve Bruce’s side could not make it.
