Sheffield Wednesday forward George Hirst has taken to social networking site Twitter to revel in the win for the England Under-19 side against their Latvia counterparts this weekend.

The England Under-19 team got the better of their Latvia counterparts 3-0 in their Elite Qualifying Round in Skopje on Saturday.

Hirst started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, and the youngster has taken to Twitter to revel in the win.

Wednesday fans have responded to the message from the 19-year-old forward on the social networking site.

Hirst is a very talented and promising young forward, but the 19-year-old has not played a single match in the Championship so far this season.

That is because of a contract dispute between the player and the club, as manager Jos Luhukay told BBC Radio Sheffield earlier this month (click here to read more).

There is a very good chance that Hirst will leave Wednesday in the summer transfer window.
