Sheffield Wednesday star Barry Bannan seems to be back on track.
Barry Bannan made his long-awaited comeback for Sheffield Wednesday last weekend when he featured against Leeds United at Elland Road.
The 28-year-old did not start the Championship game against Leeds, but the Wednesday midfielder came on as a substitute midway through the second half at Elland Road.
It was the former Aston Villa midfielder’s first appearance for the Owls since December due to injury.
Bannan has continued his recovery from injury, as he featured for Wednesday’s Under-23 side against their Burnley counterparts at Barnfield on Friday.
The midfielder has taken to Twitter to express his delight at playing for the Under-23 side and to give an update on his recovery, and Wednesday fans have responded to his message on the social networking site.
Bannan seems to be getting back to full match fitness well, and the midfielder could well re-establish himself in the Wednesday starting lineup in the final weeks of the season.
The former Crystal Palace midfielder is one of the best players in the Championship, and he will be key for the Owls next season.
