A number of Sheffield Wednesday fans have been left perplexed by Sean Clare’s decision after he joined the Scottish Premiership leaders.

A number of Sheffield Wednesday fans have been left largely stunned after Hearts confirmed on their official website that they have now signed Sean Clare on a free transfer.
Clare’s future was seemingly a talking point for several months after he established himself as one to look out for during his time on the Owls’ books.
He had been without a club for a little while with his Wednesday contract expiring in the summer. But it has now been confirmed that he has joined the Scottish Premiership leaders on a three-year deal.
The move has certainly taken the Hillsborough faithful by surprise, and his comments upon moving to Tynecastle have caused even more head-scratching as Clare suggested that he turned down Premier League and Championship offers to join Craig Levein’s men.
“I’m buzzing to be here. I’m really happy to get it done and I’m looking forward to what’s to come,” he told the club’s official website. “There has been interest from England in the Premier League and the Championship.

“I really took my time on the decision, but even before I came up I knew that Hearts was a massive club and you’ve got really passionate fans and a great fanbase, people who you want to play for so that really attracted me to come up.”
Some Wednesday fans on social media have criticised Clare for making the move to Hearts. They believe that he has taken a backward step in his career despite their excellent start to the new season.

And his comments have also annoyed the fans that saw him appear in a Sheffield Wednesday kit on just five occasions, with many suggesting that the youngster has made a poor decision or been badly advised.
