Winnall played the full 90 minutes as Sheffield Wednesday emerged victorious against Sheffield United.

Sheffield Wednesday fans are reacting to Sam Winnall’s display against Sheffield United Under-23s on Tuesday.
Winnall returned to contention in late December following a long-term lay-off, and appeared four times as a substitute during the temporary reigns of Lee Bullen and Steve Agnew.
But the 28-year-old last appeared in a matchday squad more than a month ago, and continues to be overlooked by the new Owls manager, Steve Bruce.
Speaking last week, Bruce revealed that despite having ‘trained like a beast’, Winnall was still ‘a little bit short’ of fitness (Sheffield Star).
As a result, the striker was dropped again to Wednesday’s development squad, and got a full 90 minutes under his belt against Sheffield United.
Goals from Ronaldo Aarons and Conor Grant secured a comfortable win for the Owls at Bramall Lane – but what did those of a Sheffield Wednesday persuasion make of Winnall’s performance?
This is what they’re saying on Twitter…
