Joao is Sheffield Wednesday’s second top scorer this season.

Sheffield Wednesday fans are reacting to talk linking Lucas Joao with a move away from Hillsborough.
The Sun on Sunday reported the Owls will sell Joao in the summer transfer window – but are looking for £8 million to do so.
The twice-capped Portugal striker is Wednesday’s second top goalscorer this season, with nine in 26 league appearances.
But he has yet to reach double figures in any of his four seasons in Sheffield – where he faces competition from Steven Fletcher, Atdhe Nuhiu and the fit-again trio of Gary Hooper, Sam Winnall and Fernando Forestieri (who it’s claimed the Owls are also ready to offload) – and has frustrated with his inconsistency, both in terms of fitness and form.
And some of a Sheffield Wednesday persuasion would be willing to let him leave.
This is what they’re saying on Twitter…
Sheffield Wednesday gave Joao a new contract at the start of this season.
But he is already approaching the final two years of that and this summer could be Wednesday’s best chance to make maximum profit.

The Sun on Sunday noted that Joao was interesting Premier League clubs after making a bright start to his Hillsborough career, leading too to international recognition.
