The Sheffield Wednesday defender is reportedly wanted by the PEC Zwolle manager, Jaap Stam.

Some Sheffield Wednesday supporters are reacting on Twitter to reports linking Joost van Aken with a return to his native Netherlands.
The Dutch newspaper, De Stentor, claims Van Aken is wanted by the newly-appointed PEC Zwolle manager, Jaap Stam.
The centre-back signed for Sheffield Wednesday from Heerenveen 18 months ago, for a fee that could reportedly rise to £4 million.
But despite showing flashes of his ability on the ball, Van Aken has struggled defensively throughout his Owls career, which stalled due to an injury suffered at Nottingham Forest on Boxing Day last year.
And the 24-year-old appears to have dropped to fifth in the Wednesday pecking order, behind Tom Lees, Michael Hector, Jordan Thorniley and Daniel Pudil.
It seems that few of a Sheffield Wednesday persuasion would have a problem with Van Aken’s departure…
It is unclear whether any move for Van Aken would be permanent or on loan.
However, the Owls can perhaps forget about seeing a return on their alleged investment.

Could Van Aken have turned things around at Sheffield Wednesday?
