Venancio impressed on loan to Sheffield Wednesday last season.

Sheffield Wednesday fans are reacting on Twitter to reports another club has agreed a fee to sign Frederico Venancio.
According to the Sheffield Star, an unnamed Portuguese top flight side have been successful with a six-figure offer for Venancio, who spent last season on loan at Hillsborough and is said to be the Owls’ top centre-back target during the summer transfer window.
And although it is claimed Venancio’s preference is to return to Wednesday, the report adds that his current employers, Vitoria Setubal, hope to sell him as soon as possible to ‘ease their financial problems’.

With the Owls thought to have to move on players of their own before bringing in new ones, their chance to re-sign the Portuguese could pass them by.
And that, it seems, would not sit well with a number of the Sheffield Wednesday faithful.
This is what they’re saying on Twitter…
Not all Owls supporters feel the same way, however…
