Sheffield Wednesday are reportedly interested in signing Lee Cattermole from Sunderland this summer.

A number of Sheffield Wednesday fans have taken to Twitter to react to the reports from The Sun on Sunday (10/3; page 61) which have suggested that the Owls want to sign Sunderland midfielder Lee Cattermole on loan this summer.
Steve Bruce is still in the early stages of his tenure at Hillsborough and has made an extremely promising start with the club, with three wins and five draws coming in his first eight games.
However, the play-offs appear to be just too far out of reach for Wednesday, and it seems that Bruce’s attention has started to switch to the summer transfer window, with The Sun on Sunday (10/3; page 61) reporting that Cattermole is a loan target for the Championship side.
Cattermole has made 23 appearances for the Black Cats this term, scoring five goals. Unfortunately for the 30-year-old however, he appears to face a tough task winning all of the Wednesday fanbase over if he does make a switch during the upcoming window.

There are actually some supporters who are backing a move for the combative midfielder – who Bruce has previously managed at Wigan Athletic and at the Stadium of Light – but several of the fans seem underwhelmed at the prospect of signing Cattermole.
He has been a divisive player throughout his career, so it is not a huge surprise that some Wednesday fans have their concerns. But Bruce would seemingly be putting himself under a little pressure by making a move for Cattermole this summer.

Here is how some of the Sheffield Wednesday fans reacted to the links with the Sunderland ace…
