Aarons, who joined Wednesday on loan from Premier League club Newcastle in the January transfer window, featured for the Owls in their Championship match against Swansea at the Hillsborough Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The 23-year-old winger started the game and played for 64 minutes, as the Owls won 3-1.
The youngster played well for Wednesday on his first competitive start, as he set up Adam Reach and was a real menace for the Swansea defence.
According to WhoScored, Aarons provided one assist, took two shots, had a pass accuracy of 81.8%, made two tackles and one interception, and played one key pass.
The winger has made one start and three substitute appearances for Steve Bruce’s side, providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.
The win against Swansea means that Steve Bruce’s side are nine points off the Championship playoffs at the moment.
