Boyd featured for Wednesday in the Championship game against Sunderland away from home at the Stadium of Light on Monday afternoon.
The 32-year-old winger started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Owls won 3-1.
Wednesday fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Boyd, who joined the Owls in the summer of 2017 on a free transfer following his departure from Burnley at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at the Stadium of Light on Monday afternoon, hosts Sunderland had 53% of the possession, took 21 shots of which seven were on target, and earned 10 corners, according to BBC Sport.
Visitors Wednesday had 47% of the possession, took eight shots of which five were on target, and earned one corner, according to BBC Sport.
The result against Sunderland means that Wednesday are now 16th in the Championship table with 47 points from 40 matches.
