Boyd was in action for Wednesday in their Championship game against Leeds away from home at Elland Road.
The 33-year-old winger started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Owls lost 1-0.
The Scotsman struggled with the pace of the match and failed to make an impact on proceedings at Elland Road.
According to WhoScored, against Leeds on Saturday evening, Boyd took one shot, had a pass accuracy of 66.7%, won two headers, and made three tackles, two interceptions and one clearance.
So far this season, Boyd has made 12 starts and six substitute appearances in the Championship for the Owls, scoring one goal and providing two assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
Wednesday fans were not pleased with the display produced by Boyd and do not want him at the Hillsborough Stadium next season.
