Forestieri was introduced to the match just before the hour mark, but he was unable to have much of an impact.
The Argentine failed to provide the spark that Wednesday needed, as they slipped to a 2-1 defeat against Ipswich Town.
Wednesday fans have now accused Forestieri of having an awful attitude, and have questioned his commitment.
Forestieri appeared to want to leave Hillsborough during the summer transfer window, but the Owls rejected all approaches.
Forestieri was key for Wednesday last season, but he has put in a series of below-par displays this time around.
And supporters of the Yorkshire side appear to have become frustrated with the former Watford man, with a section of Wednesday fans now wanting him sold.
Wednesday’s defeat to Ipswich has seen them slip down to 10th place in the Championship table.
