Fernando Forestieri featured for the Sheffield Wednesday Under-23 side against their Coventry City counterparts at the Hillsborough Stadium on Monday.

Sheffield Wednesday fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the return of Fernando Forestieri.
Forestieri, who can operate as a striker or as an attacking midfielder, played for the Wednesday Under-23 side against their Coventry City counterparts on Monday.
The 28-year-old featured in the Owls’ 2-1 win against Coventry and scored from the penalty spot at the Hillsborough Stadium.
It was the first time that the attacker had played a game of football since undergoing knee surgery in August.

After the match, Forestieri told The Star that he is ready to turn out for the first team this week.
Wednesday will return to action on Friday afternoon when they take on Preston North End at the Hillsborough Stadium in the Championship.
The Owls are 17th in the Championship table at the moment with 41 points from 38 matches, eight points above the relegation zone.
