The Owls brought in the former AC Milan man on a free transfer on Tuesday.

The transfer window may have close a week ago, but Sheffield Wednesday proved that their transfer business was still not done as they announced on Tuesday the signing of former AC Milan star Urby Emanuelson.
Emanuelson has become the Owls’ eighth major permanent signing since the end of last season and signed on a free transfer after leaving Hellas Verona.
The 30-year-old arrives with impressive pedigree, having starred as a young talent in an Ajax side packed full of top-quality players before playing over 100 times for Milan.
He has also won 16 caps for the Netherlands, and won Serie A with Milan in his first half-season at the San Siro in 2010-11.

He has now joined Carlos Carvalhal’s project at Hillsborough, and will hope to play a leading role for the Owls in the Championship this term.
Primarily seen as a left-back, Emanuelson, who has also featured for Roma, can also play on the left side of midfield with distinction, such as in his final full season at Ajax when he scored eight times from left wing throughout the season.
Though his career has slowed somewhat since leaving Milan two years ago he will still bring a touch of class to the Wednesday side, and reacting to the move on Twitter, most Owls supporters were impressed with their latest capture.
