Palmer played the full 90 minutes as Sheffield Wednesday suffered a fifth straight defeat.

Sheffield Wednesday’s recent poor form continued with a 2-1 defeat against Ipswich Town on Tuesday.
The Owls have now lost five in a row, and will be disappointed not to have made Ipswich work harder for the points as match winner Martyn Waghorn profited from poor marking and questionable goalkeeping to score either side of Lucas Joao’s classy equaliser.
From a Wednesday perspective, only Joao and – at the very most – one or two others can emerge with any credit, with the rest perhaps best advised to take a self-imposed exile from social media.
Jordan Rhodes, Jacob Butterfield, David Jones, Morgan Fox and Glenn Loovens have all been regular targets for online bashings in recent weeks, and Liam Palmer’s name can be added to that list.

Thinking about it, that last one is probably sarcasm.
