The Sheffield Wednesday defender has come under criticism from some of the Owls fans and appeared to be booed pre-match at Hillsborough.
A number of Sheffield Wednesday fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on Lee Bullen’s comments about Liam Palmer and Morgan Fox following Tuesday night’s 1-0 Championship win over Luton Town at Hillsborough.
Palmer was ruled out of action prior to the game against the Hatters and Fox was drafted in his place, with some Owls fans appearing to boo his name when announced at the stadium before kickoff.
Although Fox seemed to be lacking in confidence in the first half, he improved after the interval and made a crucial intervention four minutes from time, a sliding challenge to block Luke Bolton’s strike in the box.
After the game, Bullen confirmed that Palmer had a back spasm before the match, thus ruling him out of contention, but although he is expected to be back for Saturday’s trip to Preston North End, he said he will have a selection headache due to Fox’s “fantastic” display.
Bullen’s comments prompted mixed reaction from the Owls fanbase, with opinion very much split down the middle on Fox:
Fox has been at Wednesday since the start of 2017 after moving from Charlton Athletic in January of that year, and has made 71 appearances for the Owls, according to Transfermarkt.
