Sunderland completed the signing of free-agent defender Joel Lynch on Monday, but their efforts to improve at the back may not be over just yet.

The Sunderland Echo claim that Fox is keen on a move to Sunderland, but the Black Cats have failed with their first bid for the Welshman.
They’re expected to come back with another bid, and a move looks possible despite Fox playing Wednesday’s last two Championship games in full.
The 25-year-old, formerly of Charlton Athletic, has been heavily criticised by fans over the years, and that is continuing as Sunderland line up a move.
Wednesday fans have been tweeting about Fox, believing the Owls should take the money and run, urging them to sell to anyone who will take him.
Others are a little concerned about the lack of left back cover if Fox goes, but feel that the plan should be to ‘sell, sell, sell’ if Sunderland do return with a new offer.
