Leeds United’s slipped to their third consecutive away league defeat yesterday as Sheffield Wednesday beat them 3-0.

The Owls were convincing winners, recording a much needed win after suffering two straight losses themselves heading into the match.

Leeds were one of the top scoring teams in the league heading into the match but just did not click going forward.

Summer signing Samu Saiz did look bright in the early stages and the club were quick to tweet about how Sheffield Wednesday’s players struggled to keep up with him.

By the end of the match this tweet did not look so smart, and Sheffield Wednesday supporters were quick to pile in.

The three points allowed Sheffield Wednesday to gain ground on Leeds, but they still remain behind their Yorkshire rivals in the Championship table.

Wednesday are 12th compared to Leeds United’s fifth position, although there are just four points separating the two teams.
