The former Sheffield Wednesday loanee is currently without a club.

Some Sheffield Wednesday fans may have to put on hold their dream of a Hillsborough return for Alex Lopez, according to reports in Australia.
Lopez, who made a positive impression while on loan to Sheffield Wednesday three seasons ago, is a free agent after leaving Sporting Gijon earlier in the summer and can therefore be signed outside of the transfer window.
At the time of the midfielder’s release, several of an Owls persuasion urged their club to bring him back to Sheffield 6 – although Wednesday have since welcomed Josh Onomah, the on-loan Tottenham Hotspur youngster, in the same position.
And News.com.au claims Lopez is now set to sign for Brisbane Roar instead.

The website states the 30-year-old is expected to arrive in Queensland next week ‘to link with the Roar’, who are managed by the former Coventry City striker John Aloisi.
Lopez played 22 times for Sheffield Wednesday en route to the 2016 Championship play-off final, but has endured an injury-hit couple of campaigns since then.
