Sheffield Wednesday fans have been left fuming with Sheffield United striker Gary Madine.

Madine was in high spirits yesterday, as United continued their promotion celebrations, and he decided to start a chant against Wednesday with his side’s supporters.

The target-man started singing ‘mind the gap’ in reference to United finishing comfortably ahead of Wednesday in the Championship table this season.

And Owls fans have been left seething with their former striker’s behaviour.

Madine spent four years with Wednesday between 2011 and 2015, making over 100 appearances for the Owls.

The 28-year-old is currently on loan at Sheffield United, and it is unknown whether his transfer will get made permanent.

Madine has scored three goals in 14 Championship appearances for the Blades this term.

Chris Wilder’s men finished of their season with a 2-2 draw with Stoke City, while Wednesday were held to a 0-0 stalemate with Reading.
