The Sheffield Wednesday right-back is enjoying a renaissance in the post-Luhukay era.

Liam Palmer’s recent form appears to be splitting the Sheffield Wednesday fanbase.
Palmer regained his place following Jos Luhukay’s departure in late December, and has helped the Owls to record six clean sheets out of a possible 10 since then.
The Sheffield Wednesday academy product was part of a back line described by new boss Steve Bruce as ‘immaculate’ following Saturday’s 1-0 win at Ipswich Town.
And given the Owls’ deadline day capture of another right-back, Dominic Iorfa, the timing of Bruce’s comments could not have been better for Palmer, who recently entered the final six months of his contract at Hillsborough.

But are the 27-year-old’s latest showings enough to warrant an extension?
This is what those of a Wednesday persuasion are saying on Twitter…
Palmer is one of nine players nearing the end of their contracts at Sheffield Wednesday, who are likely to find themselves under a transfer embargo for the second summer running.
And the impact that could have on renewing the deals of their existing players, not to mention on bringing in new ones, remains to be seen.
