Wednesday earned a narrow 2-1 win over Millwall at Hillsborough.

Sheffield Wednesday earned a superb 2-1 win over Millwall at Hillsborough thanks to goals from Barry Bannan and Tom Lees – but Wednesday fans have blasted Adthe Nuhiu for his second-half cameo role.
Scotland international Bannan opened the scoring with an exquisite volley from just outside the penalty area that will surely be a contender for goal of the month, as his left-footed strike flew in off the crossbar.
Defender Lees had a goal disallowed in the first half after the ball had gone out of play, but there was no stopping him in the second 45 as he finished with the composure of a striker from six yards out.
But the former Leeds United defender was arguably at fault for Ryan Tunnicliffe’s 72nd-minute goal, as his header was wayward when trying to find goalkeeper Cameron Dawson.

10-time Kosovo international Nuhiu was introduced with 20 minutes left on the clock, but failed to impress despite Wednesday holding on to all three points – even with the Owls defending a goal-mouth scramble in injury time.
Some Wednesday fans reacted to Nuhiu’s late display from the bench, with many suggesting that he simply is not good enough to play. One fan Tweeted he is “stealing a wage”.
