Wildsmith has impressed in Westwood’s absence for Sheffield Wednesday.

Sheffield Wednesday supporters believe Keiren Westwood could struggle to win back his place from Joe Wildsmith.
After three almost immaculate seasons at Hillsborough – in which he was named club player of the year twice – Westwood’s displays this season have prompted some to question his place in Carlos Carvalhal’s team.
It has been speculated that underlying fitness problems may have contributed to the Irishman’s sudden loss of form, although it wasn’t until last Wednesday’s defeat at Birmingham City that those issues came to a head.
Despite making a significant impression upon his introduction to the Owls’ first team two years ago – with Westwood again sidelined – his replacement, 21-year-old academy graduate Joe Wildsmith, hasn’t always covered himself in glory in the meantime.

But his performance at St Andrew’s, coupled with that of Wednesday’s 3-0 win against Leeds United on Sunday, appears to have convinced many that Wildsmith’s time is nigh.
Here’s what they’re saying on social media…
Should Westwood come back in to Wednesday’s team as soon as he’s fit again?
