Sheffield Wednesday lost to Brighton and Hove Albion in the Championship on Friday night. It was a bad night at the office for the Owls, who suffered an injury blow as well.

The Sheffield Wednesday right-back was injured in a collision in the first-half with Brighton left-back Sebastien Pocognoli.

He was stretchered off and left the game on crutches as Sheffield Wednesday fans feared the worst over his injury trouble.

However, the defender has now confirmed the extent of the injury and the Owls star is clearly not in too much peril.

He sent out this tweet today, confirming that he is not set to miss a long period of football with the issue as it is just an impact injury:

Hunt would have been a big miss for Sheffield Wednesday. The defender is an ever present for Carlos Carvalhal’s side.

He has featured in 17 games for Sheffield Wednesday so far this season and the news he is not set for a lengthy stay out of the first-team will be welcomed by the Hillsborough faithful.
