Sheffield Wednesday signed Frederico Venancio last month.
Frederico Venancio came through an under-23 game unscathed for Sheffield Wednesday as he moves closer to first team action.
Venancio was a summer signing from Portuguese side Vitoria, who joined on loan late in the transfer window.
Venancio has not yet made his first team debut, but Wednesday are working on getting him up to speed.
He featured in the 4-1 victory over QPR, as one of three first team players to drop down into the side to get game time under his belt.
Former Charlton defender Morgan Fox featured and scored twice in the win, while former Blackburn goalkeeper Jake Kean was also in action.
Coach Neil Thompson told the Sheffield Star: “It was great for Morgan to get two goals and for Frederico and Keano to get 90 minutes under their belts.
“When the senior boys come in, they help the boys. They give you that little bit of stability and leadership.”
Venancio certainly has leadership skills, having captained the Vitoria side last season
The Owls have an option to buy at the end of his loan deal if he impresses, and he will certainly have a part to play over the course of the season.
