Sheffield Wednesday manager Steve Bruce has spoken highly of Barry Bannan on the club’s official Twitter page following the match against Blackburn Rovers.

Wednesday got the better of Blackburn 4-2 at the Hillsborough Stadium in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Bannan featured in the match, and the former Aston Villa midfielder played well for the Owls.

The 29-year-old provided two assists for his teammates, as the Owls enhanced their chances of finishing in the top six of the Championship this season.

Wednesday manager Bruce has spoken highly of Bannan, and has said that former Crystal Palace midfielder is a special footballer.
