Sheffield Wednesday suffered a shock defeat at home to Brentford last night, missing out on the chance to move into fourth place.
Their 2-1 loss kept them in sixth position, behind rivals Leeds United on goal difference and two points back from Reading.
First half goals from John Egan and Harlee Dean stunned Hillsborough, with Fernando Forestieri netting an injury time consolation goal.
Substitute Callum McManaman set up the strike, and he commented on Twitter after the game expressing his frustration at the result.
McManaman added that he and his side are determined to get back on track when they travel to Leeds United this weekend for a crucial clash.
The loss puts more pressure on Wednesday to get a result at Elland Road against a side who have beaten them once this season.
The Owls certainly have enough firepower within their ranks to pull off a win, and McManaman, on loan from West Brom, may have put himself in contention to start the fixture with his impressive cameo off the bench.
