Newcastle United are said to be considering placing Sheffield Wednesday boss Steve Bruce in charge.
Sheffield Wednesday fans think that their post on social media shows that Steve Bruce is staying, amid links with Newcastle United.
The Chronicle have reported how Bruce is now the favourite to take over at Newcastle.
However, as of last night, Bruce was with Wednesday for pre-season in Portugal.
And Wednesday’s tweet, which showed Bruce posing for photos with Owls fans, went down very well with supporters.
Bruce stated publicly last night that he was unaware of Newcastle’s interest, as reported by the Chronicle, which suggest that any move is still some way off.
Bruce would not be a popular appointment at St. James’ Park, after having such a high profile manager as Rafael Benitez in charge.
Newcastle currently have Neil Redfearn and Ben Dawson in control of training, as they look for Benitez’s replacement.
