If West Brom sack Alan Pardew as manager then should they look to the Championship with these Bristol City, Fulham and Sheffield United bosses?

Alan Pardew has just two matches to turn around West Bromwich Albion’s form or is facing the sack, according to the Sun.

The Baggies have won just one of their 15 league matches since Pardew was named as Tony Pulis’ successor as manager and the club are bottom of the Premier League currently and seven points from safety.

The Birmingham Mail reports that Marco Silva has recently emerged as the new favourite to take over at the Hawthorns should the 56-year-old be axed, while Mark Hughes, Gary Megson and Harry Redknapp are also in the frame.

Yet should West Brom take a look into the Championship for a more left-field appointment that breaks away from the norm? Here are three potential options:

Lee Johnson of Bristol City looks on prior to the Sky Bet Championship match between Bolton Wanderers and Bristol City at Macron Stadium on February 2, 2018 in Bolton, England.

Lee Johnson

Drafted in to save Bristol City from relegation during the 2015/16 season with the club in the drop zone, Johnson guided the Robins to eight wins from their last 16 matches to move them 12 points away from the bottom three by the end of the season.

After another bottom half finish the following term few probably expected how well the Bristol side would perform this time around, currently in sixth place and playing an exciting brand of football under the 36-year-old’s guidance.

Slavisa Jokanovic

Having previously taken Watford out of the second tier in 2015, it is somewhat surprising Jokanovic hasn’t repeated the feat with Fulham after instilling an attacking swagger at Craven Cottage.

Last campaign the West Londoners finished in the playoffs and they are currently fourth having not lost in the league since December 16.

Chris Wilder

Perhaps not as fashionable a choice as Johnson or Jokanovic would be, Wilder has still done some excellent work with current side Sheffield United.

Appointed in the summer of 2016, the 50-year-old took the Blades out of League One as champions with 100 points and the South Yorkshire side are seventh in the Championship at the moment after another impressive showing.
