The Sheffield United midfielder returned to haunt Everton earlier this season.

The in-form Sheffield United midfielder, John Lundstram, accepts that Everton were right to release him.
Lundstram was shown the door by Everton in 2015 after progressing through the Toffees’ academy system.
But despite having dropped down as far as League Two in between, the Liverpudlian was on the winning side on his first return to Goodison Park, with Sheffield United, earlier this season.
Lundstram assisted Lys Mousset’s goal in a 2-0 success for the Blades to maintain his status as one of fantasy football’s must-have players.
Speaking to The Daily Mirror (page 12, Mirror Football, November 4 edition) after scoring twice in a 3-0 win against Burnley on Saturday, the lifelong Liverpool fan said: “That’s always at the back of your mind when you get a setback, to prove people wrong.
“You grow as a person and as a player and maybe at the time when I was let go by Everton, I wasn’t ready.
“I didn’t think that at the time but looking back maybe they were right.
“I’ve had a lot of knockbacks along the way.

“It hasn’t been easy but it’s a journey I wouldn’t change.”
Remarkably, Lundstram was only a bit-part player as Sheffield United gained promotion from the Championship last season.
And he has already started four more games (11) this campaign than he managed across all competitions.
