The Blades are vying with Norwich City and Leeds United for the Championship’s top two slots and Premier League promotion.

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder has won the Championship Manager of the Month award for February, the club has confirmed.
The Blades were in top form last month, despite having to get through some difficult fixtures on paper, including Aston Villa, Middlesbrough and West Bromwich Albion.
It was a crucial month for United’s promotion hopes but Wilder steered his troops to an impressive 13 points from a possibly 15, as well as four clean sheets (Sky Sports News).
Indeed, the Bramall Lane side got into top two of the table following their win over West Brom, nudging Leeds United down to third, and as such, Wilder has been recognised for his exploits.
The news was announced on Friday, but as is often the case with such awards, some fans aren’t happy to win them due to the reputation of the “curse” they bring upon the winner.
With the Championship season entering its business end and the Whites having leapfrogged the Blades back into second, it promises to be a nervy finish and so some fans weren’t pleased about the award.
Here is some of the fan reaction on Twitter, ranging from the positive to the negative:
